As part of our scientific graphic design club, Miriam took alumni and alumnae of her scientific graphic design workshops for an excursion along the Donaukanal (Danube canal) to discuss design at the hand of street art and graffiti. Today we had a visit by the Fellows of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation attending the summer academy “Drug Discovery” in Vienna. Hosted by Miriam, 25 undergraduate students visited CeMM to learn more about cancer drug research and cutting-edge drug discovery technologies at CeMM. [Read more]

As of June 1st 2019, Miriam was promoted to tenure track Assistant Professor at TU Wien. To celebrate this, CeMM – the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, where Miriam is an Adjunct PI, hosted a wonderful party. Michael was awarded the Lions Prize 2019! The prize will enable Michael’s second stay during his PhD thesis in the lab of our cooperation partner Prof. Shinji Ando at Tokyo Tech in Japan. We proudly present our new diploma students Alexandra and Emily who join us from the Higher Technical Institute for Chemical Industry (HBLVA Rosensteingasse) for their diploma theses. Alexandra and Emily will work on the hydrothermal synthesis of novel high-performance pigments with Hipassia, and also study the economical aspects of these syntheses with our spin-off UGP materials.
