New paper published in Macromolecules entitled “Highly crystalline, nanostructured polyimide microparticles via green and tunable solvothermal polymerization”, where we show how nanostructured polyimides can be generated using solely the required monomers and non-harmful alcohols. As part of our scientific graphic design club, Miriam took alumni and alumnae of her scientific graphic design workshops for an excursion along the Donaukanal (Danube canal) to discuss design at the hand of street art and graffiti. Today we had a visit by the Fellows of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation attending the summer academy “Drug Discovery” in Vienna. Hosted by Miriam, 25 undergraduate students visited CeMM to learn more about cancer drug research and cutting-edge drug discovery technologies at CeMM. [Read more]

As of June 1st 2019, Miriam was promoted to tenure track Assistant Professor at TU Wien. To celebrate this, CeMM – the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, where Miriam is an Adjunct PI, hosted a wonderful party.
