Fabián Andrés Amaya García

Fabián holds a BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional, Bogotá, Colombia.  He carried out both his BSc and MSc thesis in the field of Organic Chemistry and Natural Products. He performed his MSc thesis under the supervision of Dr. Leonardo Castellanos Hernández, focusing on improving the bioactivity of dolabellane diterpenes obtained from soft corals. In 2015, Fabián spent two months in an internship at Fluminense Federal University, Brazil, under the supervision of Dr. Valeria Teixeira. Since June 2018, he joined us as PhD student working on the project “3C – Cellular color chart”, in collaboration with the groups of Giulio Superti-Furga and Stefan Kubicek at the Research Center for Molecular Medicine (CeMM) of Vienna, Austria.
