Miriam has been awarded the Anton-Paar Science Award 2014 of the Austrian Society of Chemistry (GOeCH). The prize was awarded at this years general assembly on Nov 6^th in Vienna. We are honored that our work receives that much appreciation! Evgeniya Khaybulkina joined the team as a research intern. Her project deals with the synthesis and analysis of emulsions. We are glad to have Evgeniya with us and wish her a lot of success for her research! [Read more]

Miriam will be attending the Polydays 2014 (conference topic: “Beyond Self-Assembly – Making Polymeric Materials More Versatile”) held in Berlin, Germany, from Sept 30^th to Oct 2^nd. Sebastian has successfully applied for participation in the 18^th Jülich Center for Neutron Scattering (JCNS) Lab course taking place from Sept 1^st-12^th in Jülich and Garching. We wish him a great workshop! [Read more]

Catarina and Miriam will be attending the 5^th EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Istanbul next week. Our group’s research will be presented in the form of two posters and a talk. We are looking forward to a great conference! [Read more]

Bettina has been awarded the excellence fellowship of the faculty of Technical Chemistry of TU Wien, for her MSc research on hydrothermal polymerization. She and Elisabeth Kolar of Karin Föttinger’s group were the only awardees this year. We are very proud that both prizes go to the Institute of Materials Chemistry. [Read more]

Bettina and Miriam will be attending the Polymer Physics GRC in Massachusetts this week. Bettina will present a poster on our research on hydrothermal polymerizations, and Miriam will present the groups’ current results in solid-state polymerizations.
