We are very happy that Marianne Lahnsteiner and Fabián Andrés Amaya García joined us for their PhDs! Marianne will work on the hydrothermal synthesis of organic frameworks within our FWF START project “The hydrothermal route to functional organic frameworks”, and Fabián will work on the synthesis of novel fluorescent dyes within our WWTF project “3C – Cellular Color Chart” in cooperation with the Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (CeMM). Elias and Tobia participated in this year’s Vienna Young Scientist Symposium (VSS 2018). Elias gave a talk entitled “Environmentally Friendly Generation of High-Performance Polyimide Foams
Using Monomer Salts”, and Tobia gave a pitch talk and presented his poster “Design of Non-Spherical Colloidal Polymer Particles for Self-Assembled Materials”. Tobia was awarded the best presenter award – congratulations from the team! [Read more]
