Ana Subotic and Tobia Cavalli joined the team. Ana’s internship project will deal with the synthesis of hybrid materials, and Tobia’s MSc project will focus on hydrothermal polymerizations. We are glad to have Ana and Tobia with us and wish them lots of success for their research! [Read more]
2015 marks the 200 year anniversary of TU Vienna. On this special occasion the Austrian radio station Ö1 broadcasted a radio show featuring research carried out at TU Vienna. In today’s issue, the Austrian magazine profil wissen published an article on creativity and improvisation in research labs. The article focusses on ’self-made’ equipment, and featured Alonso’s injection set-up, together with a description of our research and illustrated with very artistic pictures by photographer Reiner Riedler. Miriam has been awarded the Anton-Paar Science Award 2014 of the Austrian Society of Chemistry (GOeCH). The prize was awarded at this years general assembly on Nov 6th in Vienna. Evgeniya Khaybulkina joined the team as a research intern. Her project deals with the synthesis and analysis of emulsions. We are glad to have Evgeniya with us and wish her a lot of success for her research! [Read more]
Miriam will be attending the Polydays 2014 (conference topic: “Beyond Self-Assembly – Making Polymeric Materials More Versatile”) held in Berlin, Germany, from Sept 30th to Oct 2nd. Miriam will give her talk “Monomer Pre-Organization in Salt Crystals and Their Solid-State Polymerizations to Anisotropic Homopolymer Particles” on Oct 1st. [Read more]
