Professor Shinji Ando of the Tokyo Institute of Technology visited us this week at TU Wien as external examiner for Michael’s PhD defense. Miriam kicked off the 1^st monthly meeting of the Scientific Graphic Design Club with a workshop on the topics of brainstorming and formstorming. All participants were very eager to challenge their own creativity on illustration design. We had a great time and are already looking forward to the next meeting! [Read more]

Marianne was awarded with the TU Wien research grant “Kurzfristige Wissenschaftliche Arbeiten”(Short-term scientific projects) for a research stay in the lab of Prof. David Mecerreyes (Innovative Polymers Group) at the Institute for Polymer Materials of the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering (POLYMAT). Hipassia participated in the `Speed dating with Scientists’ event within the FIT Days in Vienna. This program is sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) and allows female high school students to chat with female scientists and engineers about their careers.
