Miriam was invited to speak at the Swiss Chemical Society Spring Meeting 2026 in Fribourg, Switzerland. In her lecture, “Harnessing Water for Sustainable Materials Synthesis through Hydrothermal and Automation Approaches,” she presented approaches developed in our research to use water as a reaction medium for more sustainable materials synthesis and to expand these strategies through automation. The meeting brought together researchers from across the chemical sciences and provided a great opportunity to exchange ideas on green and sustainable chemistry and emerging approaches to chemical synthesis.
