Farewell, Elana!

After joining our group at the University of Konstanz in 2021, Elana has been an essential part of the UnterlassLAB, investigating co-crystals for sustainable materials and managing PXRD and SAXS equipment. Frank participates in the 4th Conference of the GDCh Division of Chemistry and Energy

Frank presented his work entitled “Synthesis of Layered Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Vanadium Oxides for Electrochemical Applications” at the 4th Conference of the GDCh Division of Chemistry and Energy in Duisburg, Germany. In his poster, he presented the synthesis of hybrid materials consisting of organic pigments and bilayered vanadium oxides using high-temperature water, highlighting their potential use as electrode materials for post-lithium-ion batteries. Exciting beginnings in Würzburg!

Today marks the beginning of a thrilling new chapter! Frank, Tobias, Frederic, Lena, and Celine have joined the Chair of Chemical Technology of Materials Synthesis (LCTM – Lehrstuhl für Chemische Technologien der Materialsynthese) as PhD students at the Julius-Maximilian University of Würzburg. Meanwhile, Alonso has taken on a new role as a scientific advisor to Miriam in her role as director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research (ISC). [Read more]
