After joining our group at the University of Konstanz in 2021, Elana has been an essential part of the UnterlassLAB, investigating co-crystals for sustainable materials and managing PXRD and SAXS equipment. As of mid-April, all scientific equipment and samples of the UnterlassLAB have been successfully transferred from the University of Konstanz to the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. Frank presented his work entitled “Synthesis of Layered Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Vanadium Oxides for Electrochemical Applications” at the 4th Conference of the GDCh Division of Chemistry and Energy in Duisburg, Germany. In his poster, he presented the synthesis of hybrid materials consisting of organic pigments and bilayered vanadium oxides using high-temperature water, highlighting their potential use as electrode materials for post-lithium-ion batteries.
